If your Meta Ad account was blocked because no payment method is assigned, this guide will help you fix it quickly.

In most cases, the issue happens because the payment method was added to Business Manager but not linked to the specific Ad account.

Step 1: Check if your payment method is linked to your Ad account

Go to https://business.facebook.com/ and select the correct Ad account.

Selecting the ad account

Open Payment methods and add a payment method if you don't already have one.

I recommend using a credit or debit card.
Bank accounts and PayPal can sometimes lead to payment issues and additional restrictions from Meta.

This problem usually happens because there is no payment method assigned to the Ad account.

You can verify this by going to:

https://ads.facebook.com/

If you see that no payment method is assigned, continue with the next step.

Go to https://business.facebook.com/ and select the correct Ad account again.

Then:

  1. Click Accounts
  2. Click Add payment method
  3. Select Business method
  4. Choose the card you previously added

You can also add a brand-new card directly from this screen if needed.

After selecting the payment method:

  • Set it as Default
  • Save the changes

Your payment method should now be active and properly assigned to the Ad account.

You should go from disabled account.

To an active account in a few minutes.

In most cases, Meta will automatically unlock the account shortly after the payment method is verified.
